Review

The highly acclaimed singer Jorn Lande will release a live album that was recorded at Jorn´s first ever concert in America at the ProgPower VII Festival in Atlanta last year. Earlier this year he gave us two Jorn albums The Gathering and Unlocking The Past and not to forget the fine Allen/Lande album Revenge that also was released this year. Live In America is a 2-CD package where he delivers songs from his solo albums and couple of covers.

I think it´s a wasted of space to record both a drum and guitar solo for this live album. He does a great Whitesnake medley were he sounds like a young Coverdale, great stuff. He has also recorded 3-studio tracks for this release aswell. There´s a 2007 version of Out To Every Nation from his 3rd solo album, a Black Sabbath medley Lonely Is The Word/Letters From Earth that is done nicely. 3rd and final bonus track is the unreleased song Sacrificial Feelings. This is a typical Jorn rocker with heavy guitars with bluesy feel over it and reminds of early Whitesnake. This is a OK live album with a good sound and I think Jorn has a strong and powerful voice that really sound great live. This should be checked out by the dia-hard fans of Jorn.
