Review

Annie Minogue´s solo debut album "Home" was released in 2000 on the Nippon Crown label in Japan, then she started her own imprint Liberty Place records where she followed up with "Love parade" in 2002.
Last year, Annie Minogue Band´s latest CD "Tripping the velvet" was released after a few tours as a support act to artists like David Lee Roth, Steve Miller Band and Dave Navarro.
Her musical influences range from Patti Smith to Led Zeppelin and Heart to Fleetwood Mac, this is female fronted rock how it sounded like before Alanis Morrissette and Avril Lavigne took over the whole music scene.

I like Annie´s voice and the album´s bluesy moments bring thoughts to Gary Moore´s blues era, there might not be a song with hit potential like Meredith Brooks 1997 hit "Bitch" but I enjoy several songs on this 13 track album.
For fans of:Melissa Etheridge, 4 Non Blondes, Meredith Brooks, Liz Phair
