Review

Indigo Dying is a new project with Gisa Vatcky(vocals) and producer/musician Fabrizio Grossi(Starbreaker) that delivers melodic hardrock with a twist of modern rock and gothic influences.
This reminds me of two other Frontiers releases - Lunatica and Starbreaker, so if you like these two acts you get Indigo Dying.
When I saw that Mr. Grossi had produced this album I got a bit worried how he had managed with the sound. I was more than happy when I listened to the album because this must be one of the better works from him.

The sound of the album is good and tight but could have needed a little more power to get the perfect result, but still very enjoyable. Gisa Vatcky has worked with Andrea Bocelli, Melissa Etherige and Meat Loaf to name a few and she has a powerful and strong voice that I like a lot. They have got two well known guest vocalists named Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween) and Mark Boals(Codex, Ring Of Fire) to sing duets with her. Mr. Kiske sings on the best song of the album named Breathe In Water which is a brilliant melodic song with a powerful and fantastic chorus.

Better is another song that really hooks me up with a strong riffs with wonderful melodies and a catchy chorus. Superman feat. Mark Boals is a superb rocker with great harmonies. The more mid-tempo rocker Real Life Fairytale is filled with plenty of melodies and a smooth chorus. A very good album that took me by surprise and which holds a very high quality with many great songs that will catch your attention for sure. Check this out if your into Lunatica and Starbreaker.
