Review

The Voice Of Rock Glenn Hughes is back with a new solo album called F.U.N.K. This continues the journey where his last studio album Music For The Divine left. But I don’t think this new album rocks as much as the previous albums did, no this is even more funky and soul-ish with more horns that we are used to hear from Mr. Hughes. If you dig his previous albums I don’t see why you won’t dig this as much but this is more laid back than before.
As before the drums are played by Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers and the production is good. But personally I don’t get much out of this album because I´m more into the sound of his From Now On album. There are a couple of nice groovy tracks that has a nice beat but in the long run I get bored. It´s a safe buy for die hard fans of Glenn Hughes though.
