Review

The Best of Nickelback Volume 1 is the first greatest hits album released by the Canadian band Nickelback. However, it is hardly the last one as the band really is a machine when it comes to produce hits. Impressive considering that the rock scene has had a declining period the last few years and the few bands is left on the majors. Also believes that this Canadian quartet probably have had their best period when it comes to hits as it will be very difficult to surpass what they have delivered on this record. But the hits are hardly over for this band and we'll probably see more of them this autumn of 2015, when they releases their eighth album since the start in 1995.
Should I be critical about this album is that we do not get any exclusive track on it at all. Given how much the songs the band must have recorded over the years, there must be a lot of unreleased tracks and that they could have added on this one. The first statement from the band regarding this collection was just that there would be some unreleased tracks, but that was not the case now and this makes me think that it is "only" is a good album.
However, the hits are of course very impressive, and this album will work really well for those who want the band's most commercially side!

Did you know that?

The name Nickelback originates from the nickel in change that member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his Starbucks job. He would frequently say "HereĀ“s your nickel back."
