Review

The Italian hard rock band Elektradrive is back, they formed in 1983 and released the heavy metal oriented "Over the space" in 1986.
The following two albums "Due" (1989) and "Big city" (1993) were both awarded 5 K by Kerrang, I have only heard "Big city" but it´s a great melodic rock/AOR album worthy to check out if you´re a fan of this genre.
Elektradrive planned on recording their 4th album with legendary guitarist / producer Ronnie Montrose in the late 90´s but fate said something else and the record went up in smoke.
The band reunited in 2004 to write songs for the comeback album "Living 4" and in 2008, the new album sees the day of light after more than 10 years of silence.

The new line up features 4 original members Elio Maugeri - Vocals, Simone Falovo - Guitar, Alex Jorio - Drums and Stefano Turolla - Bass.
"Living 4" has a more modern sound and it´s less AOR-ish but the band still deliver classy melodic hard rock like a mix of Winger, Jorn Lande and King´s X.
It´s cool that the mighty "Get the power from the sun" features a guest performance from Mauro Pagani (PFM) on flute, other great tracks are "Feed the ground", "Pain" and "Fake news".
Oh I almost forgot, the production is first class!
