PG & Frank have been playing together in the same band for many years. In 1986 they founded the band P.G. Stølen and The Riders of Good News, which recorded their first album Promised land in 1990, which soon became a very popular track on radiostations in the southern parts of Norway. The guys are as they say - heavily influenced by american country/rock music but I hope that they´re not think of Nashville when they say that cause if so it´s a wrong explanation of their style. Of course there are influences of "real country" but there are a lot of influences of both Eagles and Poco just mentioning two of the westcoast-based light "countrybands" in the genre. You can also find traces of both Eric Clapton and Chris Rea in songs like the third one out "I Know Everything" and "Sam". The album is produced by John Beland from "The Flying Burrito Brothers" and he´ve done a nice job. This is a very nice and mature album that you will enjoy a lot if you like the Restless Heart sort of bands from Nashville mixed with the L.A scene - something that the song "Living On Dreams" is a big proof of. Great song. And that is just one them. Bravo guys.
