Review

Alex Lloyd is a wonderful singer and that is also one of the reasons why his latest album "Good in the face of a stranger" doesn´t sink like a stone in the water.
I am disappointed with the more laid back and naked sound of this album, there are a couple of nice songs like "Drugs and love", "Same day" and "Special" but the whole album doesn´t match his previous albums.
Alex can save a quite mediocre song and turn it into a pleasant audio trip, I felt that "Lonely town" or "Hollywood" could be perfect lullabies that will put any baby to sleep but Lloyd´s lovely voice keeps me alert through the whole songs.
If a "normally good" singer would perform these songs, the rating would never go higher than 2 stars.
