Review

Dutch multi instrumentalist and singer Robby Valentine has always had deep respect for the music released by Queen. this can be heard on all his albums. orchesttrations, high vocals lots of piano and guitarparts as bombastic as Queen once was. After many years of resisting doing a Queen tribute album, some years ago the urge became to strong. now it is 2014 two tribute albums have already been released and sold out. Robby decided to combine these two albums and release them both combined as one album with 5 additional songs! If there is one artist on this planet capable doing Queen, it is Robby Valentine. All instruments on the album are performed by Robby. and they sound like the wind which plays with a littlefeather! Light, with lots of gracefullnes and crystal clear!
Vocally Freddy has some more power and depth in his voice, but Robby does deliver perfectly!

24 songs take you to a 70's Queen experience that is amazingly close to what Freddy and friends were capable of delivering. the only thing that is way different in my opinion are the electronic drumparts. but the guitar, bass and pianowork is amazing!
We Will Rock You however is recorded with an electronic beat and is synth based two third of the total length of the song. To me this is a total mistake. The last part of the song which is guitar based and close to the original does not hide that enough.
Without this sidestep I would have given the album 4 points.
But.., this album is still one of the best Queen tribute albums i've listened to so far and the fact that Robby performs at the Queen Convention again in 2014 is because he delivers it close to the original, also live on stage with a full band!
Queen Fans, don't miss this hommage!
