Review

Here is a pleasant surprise for all lover of westcoast music. Brian Dale plays a slick and groovy sort of westcoast which is produced by Joe Puerta (Ambrosia, Bruce Hornsby) and if I should compare Brians music with some other I should say a mix between Michael Ruff, Bruce Hornsby, Bill Champlin and Ambrosia. The second out "The Voice" is written by David Pack and Joe Puerta and contains a helluva groove (just listen to the pianosolo), fifth one out "Buffunkel" is a typical Michael Ruff sort of groovy tune and the softer "The Closer Scene" is a lovely piece. There are a few tracks that doesn´t give me that much like "Blind Devotion" and "Don´t Count Me Out" which both are more grooves than melodies. But overall a really nice album that I warmly can recommend all you westcoastlovers out there!
