Danish pop act Ginjer Ninja delivered in 2010 a very nice pop caramel Wicked Map. The single "Bone Will Break Metal" was masterful and it is a big mystery that it didn’t become a big hit.
The band is back with their second album, and even with a slightly new style. Excess Space that is produced by Jon "Joshua" Schumann (Kashmir, Mew, Carpark North) is clearly less electronic than its predecessor and has a distinctly more mature sound. Some old fans can probably think it seems a bit boring and commercial, but personally feel that it is better than the debut track as "One Plus One" and "Hole In My Head" is amazing with their cool 80's inspired keyboards.
Check it out if you like intelligent pop with electronic elements!
