Sound City: Real to Reel is the soundtrack of the documentary about the classic studio, Sound City. If you haven’t seen the movie, you should do it immediately as it is a fantastic story about a part of the golden era in the history of music.
Behind the film and the soundtrack is none other than Dave Grohl that really raises his cool factor for each project he takes on. Both Probot and Teenage Time Killers as he also is behind are cool even if they do not reach up to this level.
Sound City: Real to Reel is a really, really good record and shows Grohl best side for sure. Just listen to "You Can not Fix Me" by Stevie Nicks with the whimsical and incredibly gorgeous melody. One of this decade's best songs if you ask me! Also "The Man That Never Was" with Rick Springfield and "A Trick With No Sleeves" with Alain Johannes is worth to mention on this soundtrack that is a real classic!
