Review

In 1970, The Who released Live at Leeds which became one of few real live albums, not being fixed and recorded in one night. The actually recorded 2 shows but Entwistle´s bass was missing in the mix in the other show from Hull so they had to pick the Leeds show to release. By this time, their sound was made for the arenas but they had to make the big stadium songs first on a studio album which Townshend had no problem in writing. He know early that Baba O´Riley, Behind blue eyes and Won´t get fooled again were designed to be big. When Who´s next came out, it went #1 in the U.K. This album was a real triumph for The Who, there´s not a dull moment on this album from 1971. A true milestone in rocknroll history and simply their best album.
