Review

The eight album - Damnesia -with Alkaline Trio is primarily anacoustic (well you'll find some electric guitars, bassand drums as well)album, and consists "a selection of beloved fan favorites selected from the group's extensive catalogue and presented in an intimate semi-unplugged format". The album also includes two new songs, "Olde English 800" and "I Remember a Rooftop", as well as a cover version of the Violent Femmes' "I Held Her in My Arms". And what could I say about it more than it's OK. Yeah - a boring statement but that is what it is. Quite boring versions of songs that are much better in their real production. Sometimes these sorts of "acoustic remake" of albums works out well. In this case I can't say it really does. It's not bad - just quite boring actually.

Did you know that?

After meeting Joey Ramone, Bruce Springsteen wrote the hit “Hungry Heart” for the Ramones but, at his manager´s advice, kept it for himself.
