Artist discography

"Sky full of holes" is Fountains of Wayne´s 6th album (including the b-sides album Out of state plates), it is also their first album in 4 years since the 2007 album "Traffic and weather". I have always been thinking where they got their name from and now I know, they took it from an iconic garden store in New Jersey which closed recently. FOW has been an influence to more artists than people usually think,Adam Schlesinger´ssongs have been performed by artists like Katy Perry, America, The Click Five, Jonas Brothers. The new album contains high energy powerpop as well as intimate acoustic driven ballads, "Firewall waltz" is a warm and beautiful acoustic ballad that has become a personal fave but another fine song is "Action hero" that sounds like a cousin to their 2003 hit "Stacy´s mom". There are some Bruce Springsteen-like melodies in "Hate to see you like this", a great song too. Chris Collingwood sings "I´m no Steve Perry" in "Road song", but he doesn´t need to be - he is the lead singer in Fountains of Wayne and there are plenty of people wanting to be in his shoes.
