Review

The 23-year-old singer-songwriter Austin Plaine from Minneapolis,Nashville is a little odd signing to Razor & Ties' current rooster. With bands like All That Remains, Starset and Red Sun Rising, they have more or less focused on alternative rock. But this stylish singer-songwriter in an Americana format is sure worth a place on this very nice quality label.
Basically there is a lot of Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne in Austins' music, but if I have to mention a few modern artists who resemble him so I would say that Matt Nathanson (the early albums), Augustana and Will Hoge are pretty close.
Tracks like "Never Come Back Again" and "Your Love" are really good as well as the acoustic "Only Human". Would have loved to seen a couple more up-tempo songs, but apart from that, this is a nice record, well worth checking out.
