Review

S.O.A.R. Is the second studio album by American hard-rock band Devour the Day, released in 2016. Like the debut Time & Pressure (2014), the band continues to deliver competent hard-rock like Burn Season, Through Fire, Like a Storm, Emphatic and, in fact, many others band. Because it really feels like there are tons of similar bands out there and unfortunately, the genre was a lot hotter around 2005-2010 when the major labs signed this kind of bands.

So even if the band is in a tough position I think that S.O.A.R. Is an album that should give them a little push forward. Maybe the debut is a little cooler, as the bands offered a slightly more varied sound and better songs. But there are some really catchy tracks here like "Step Aside", "The Bottom" and "Fact It To Make It" that all should attract most fans of this type of Modern Hard Rock.
