The collection brings together material from 1978-2007 culled from hundreds of hours of live concert recordings covering every era of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' tours and represents the best tracks as chosen by producers Tom Petty, Mike Campbell and Ryan Ulyate. The release of The Live Anthology comes on the heels of two sold out tours, the Grammy winning documentary Runnin' Down A Dream (directed by Peter Bogdanovich), and a headline performance at the Super Bowl XLII halftime show. Now, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - one of rock and roll's greatest touring bands - will mark their unparalleled string of success with the release of this landmark collection of live recordings that is unlike anything previously available - the band's story told through the music alone. The producers made no fixes or overdubs, letting the newly mixed original recordings showcase the invention, spontaneity, craft, and the musicianship that has made Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers among the most celebrated live performers of their time. Along with powerful interpretations of their own classic hits and originals, The Live Anthology features the band tackling some of their best-loved cover material, from classics to obscure beauties to unexpected adaptations. The theme from Goldfinger, the Zombies' "I Want You Back Again," the Grateful Dead's "Friend of the Devil," early Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well," Booker T. and the MGs' "Green Onions," James Brown's "Good, Good Lovin'" and many more. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers travel wide, paying their musical debts through song and showing just how confidently the band moves across genres and over time. The Live Anthology will come in multiple configurations featuring artwork and packing by renowned contemporary artist Shepard Fairey (http://www.studionumberone.com, http://www.obeygiant.com). Included in the multiple configurations are, a 5CD collector's deluxe box set available only at Best Buy that will include a first-of-its-kind audio-only Blu-ray disc, a four CD set of 48 tracks, a 48 track digital album, a seven LP vinyl box set of 51 tracks and the entirely unique Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Superhighway Tour (http://www.tompettysuperhighwaytour.com). After their first two releases "Feeding The Fire" and "Let The Demon Rock'n'Roll" the band Edge Of Forever is ready to hit the hearts of melodic hard-rock fans again with their new album "Another Paradise". The CD shows their usual hard hitting rock style renovated by a new line-up: Alessandro Del Vecchio on vocals and keyboards; Walter Caliaro on guitars; Nik Mazzucconi on bass and Francesco Jovino on drums. The new album also features performances by Bob Harris (Axe, Frank Zappa, Steve Vai and former Edge Of Forever singer) who contributes with backing vocals on "What I've Never Seen"; Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth) who sings on the title track in a duet with Alessandro Del Vecchio; Jgor Gianola (U.D.O., Gotthard, Jorn) who plays a guitar solo and Carsten "Lizard" Schulz (Evidence One, Domain) who sings background vocals on the song "Edge Of Life". The band states that the album has all that an AOR record needs: strong melodies and impressive backing vocals; sophisticated arrangements; power-house drums; stunning guitars and keyboards; bombastic production and big sing-along choruses. The new line-up features EOF veteran keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio stepping up his game to take over the job of lead vocalist too. Walter Caliaro, who replaced Matteo Carnio back in 2005, plays the guitar. Edge Of Forever has seen two previous bassists (Christian Grillo and Dimitri Oldani) replaced by the bass player, Nik Mazzucconi, and the EOF drummer is Francesco Jovino. Production of the new record is handled by Alessandro Del Vecchio, another crucial step for the band, leaving him with some big shoes to fill since in the past the band was produced by none other than the late Marcel Jacob and Bobby Barth. The mastering is done by well-known award-winning German producer and engineer Michael Voss from Casanova, Bonfire, Mad Max and Voices Of Rock. "Another Paradise" is scheduled to be out in Japan Dec. 9th through Spiritual Beast/Universal and in Europe Jan. 15th through 7Hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtoJE2_JNn0

Additionally, AFN Television's "Spectrum" channel will air the concert on December 6, 2009 at 8pm and on New Year's Eve. In addition to an intimate performance of his current single, "Who Says" on the Today Show on Thursday, November 19, Mayer has another special event up his sleeve with The Late Show with David Letterman. Mayer will perform as Letterman's musical guest, and then take over the studio for an extended concert for fans that will be webcast on Letterman's website. On November 19, Mayer will appear on The Late Show as a both a sit-in artist with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra and as the show's musical guest before performing a post-show fan concert, which will stream live and remain online through the beginning of the Battle Studies Tour. Other television appearances and special announcements are planned for December, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Jay Leno Show and Larry King Live.
Battle Studies is the fourth studio album from the seven-time Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter/guitar player/producer and incorporates the warmth, melodies and simplicity of 70's and 80's California rock and pop. Battle Studies is a confessional, relaxed and liberated album recorded in a private home in California where Mayer lived and worked over the course of six months before wrapping at the famed Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. The album was co-produced by John Mayer and Steve Jordan and will be released on November 17th, 2009 on Columbia Records. ABOUT MICHAEL FRANTI - Michael Franti's latest CD All Rebel Rockers, is not only the highest Billboard Top 200 Album Chart debut of his career, it has been on that chart longer than any other Franti CD. The CD's smash "Say Hey (I Love You)" is expected to be a certified digital platinum single by the end of November '09. Appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Fallon and other national television outlets have served to drive the more than 3.1 million YouTube views for "Say Hey (I Love You)".
Franti has always dared to say very big things through his music. Yet for all the wide-ranging excellence of his work, what's most impressive about Franti as a recording artist and live performer is his ability to inspire. Ultimately, Franti's music and his dedication to greater understanding on a global level are not two aspects of his life, but very much one and the same. The Bay Area born Franti has been bringing our world exceptionally powerful, deeply felt music under a variety of names and in a wide range of genres for twenty years. From the intense punk rock of the Beatnigs, to the deeply political rap he made with the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy to his joyful and meaningful modern soul music with Spearhead, and now as Michael Franti & Spearhead, this still young man has released an impressive series of recordings that have vividly reflected his status as a musical citizen of this world. His critically hailed live performances have been tabbed as "some of the best the industry has to offer today."
ABOUT JOHN MAYER - The consistency with which John Mayer combines word craft and melody has earned him rarefied status in popular culture as a genuine and respected songwriter and musician. Since his acclaimed debut in 2001 with Room For Squares, each release has earned John Mayer additional accolades. Through 2003's Heavier Things, his work with John Mayer Trio in 2005, CONTINUUM's 2006 release and now, Battle Studies, John Mayer has established himself as a musician and collaborator who exceeds genre boundaries. The guitarist, vocalist and songwriter has earned seven Grammy Awards and sold nearly 12.5 million albums worldwide.
In May 2007, Time Magazine placed John Mayer on their Time 100 list of the most influential contemporary thinkers, leaders, artists and entertainers. For two consecutive years, Rolling Stone Magazine featured John Mayer on the cover of their annual "Guitar" issue - first with the May 2008 "Living Guitar Legends" issue and then as part of February 2007's "Guitar Heroes" round-ups featuring Mayer with peers and icons alike.
Pairings with a range of artists are a defining trait of the musician whose collaborative streak is well-known. From rock to blues, hip-hop to jazz to country, Mayer has performed and/or recorded with Eric Clapton, BB King, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Burnett, Herbie Hancock, Dixie Chicks, Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift. In 2005, Mayer famously toured and recorded with power players Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan as John Mayer Trio, whose live album TRY! featured searing blues and rock. As on Continuum, John Mayer again took the helm as the co-producer of Battle Studies, his fourth studio album, which will be released November, 17, 2009.
