With no better way to kick-off Halloween, AFI brings fans a golden performance of "Veronica Sawyer Smokes" live from mtvU's Ulalume festival. The Morrissey-esque track comes from AFI's newly released album, Crash Love which also features the single "Medicate." The Ulalume event, which took place in Columbia, Maryland, also features Paramore, Dead By Sunrise and Kid Cudi. More performances from AFI can be seen Friday, October 30 at 9pm ET/PT on MTV, 10pm ET/PT on MTV2 and 11pm ET/PT on mtvU during the "Ulalume: Howling at New Moon" special. Rock icons FILTER return to the airwaves with their new song "Fades Like A Photograph," which will hit Rock Radio this week. The track will be featured in the upcoming big-budget action thriller 2012 and its accompanying soundtrack. 2012 stars John Cusack and was directed by Roland Emmerich. The soundtrack will be released Nov. 10 and the film hits theaters Nov. 13.

"Fades Like A Photograph," written by Filter's Richard Patrick and the film's producer/composer Harald Koser and Thomas Wander, was produced by Richard Patrick and features the band's John Spiker, Mitch Marlow and Mika Fineo, as well as former Filter member Brian Liesegang. "Photograph" marks the first time Patrick and Liesegang have worked together on recorded material in over a decade.

FILTER is no stranger to movie soundtracks. Their music has been featured on such soundtracks as "The Stepfather," "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight," "Cable Guy," "Crow: City of Angels," Songs in the Key of X: Music Inspired by 'the X-Files', "Spawn: The Album"; "X-Files" Original Soundtrack; and "The Crow: Salvation" among many others.

Currently, the band is in the studio with producer Bob Marlette recording material for their next album to be released in 2010. In the meantime, fans are getting a sneak peeks at the music and process with "View From The Studio" videos posted by Patrick on the band's official website.

The single "Fades Like A Photograph" will be available for download on Nov. 10th.

The Word Alive had metal fans salivating over the release of debut EP Empire this summer, which debuted at #15 on the Billboard Heatseakers Chart in July this year. The band is set to record their first full-length in the spring, for a release in summer 2010.

We have come to an extremely difficult decision. It has come time for us to move on from Copeland and follow other paths in our lives. We are absolutely grateful to have been able to make music for as long as we have. In the last 9 years we've been able to see parts of the world that we never dreamt we would see. We have shared the stage and built friendships with immensely talented artists. We've been afforded the opportunity to make 4 records that we're extremely proud of. Most of all, we feel honored that people have cared so much for our band and for our art. We appreciate every listener who has allowed our music to be a part of their lives. We want to offer our deepest thanks to every individual who has supported us on this ride. It has profoundly impacted our lives.

To put your minds at ease, we assure you this is not a bitter break up. We all individually feel Copeland has run its course in our lives and it's time for us to pursue what is next. We couldn't end things without a proper goodbye, so we are planning a final farewell tour in the US this coming Spring, as well as one final jaunt around the world to some of our favorite countries. We are really excited about seeing you all one more time, and we hope it turns out to be the best Copeland tour ever.

It has been discussed and we are not ruling out the possibility of recording one more album sometime in the future. However, this spring tour will be our last.

This shocking announcement comes as Zombie exits his former label of eighteen years, where he sold fifteen million records as a solo artist and with his former band White Zombie. Zombie's new album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2, previously set for release on 11/17 will now be released by Roadrunner / Loud & Proud Records in early 2010.

"It certainly wasn't an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done," states Zombie. "I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. A&M/Octone recording group Hollywood Undead will give their fans something brand new to talk about on November 10th, when they release a two-disc CD/DVD consisting of 6 new studio recordings, 6 live recordings and a full 60 minute live performance on DVD (preorder available today, 10/27 on iTunes). The new package dubbed Desperate Measures : CD/DVD is an eclectic mix of new studio recordings produced by Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and live recordings of fan favorites. In its 60th week on the Billboard 200 album chart, the debut album Swan Songs remains inside the Top 200, with total sales of more than 500,000 and average sales of 5-6,000 per week - testament to the band's explosive headline performances and online marketing.
