Go Radio will be heading into the studio this August to record their debut album. The band will be recording with Tim O'Heir (The All-American Rejects, Hot Rod Circuit, The Starting Line, Say Anything) for their first full-length, slated for an early spring 2011 release.
The band is currently on the road with The Dangerous Summer, and kick off their tour with Secondhand Serenade,The White Tie Affair and Runner Runner on 7/20. In the meantime, check out their stunning acoustic version of "Goodnight Moon", taken from new EP Do Overs And Second Chances, exclusively for Alternative Press.
GO RADIO - Jason Lancaster (vocals/guitar), Matt Burns (bass/vocals), Steven Kopacz (drums), Alex Reed (guitar/vocals) - Armed with an enviable combination of musical prowess and an impressive collection of honest, melodic songs, Tallahassee's Go Radio is one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from Florida's hotbed of rock n' roll talent. Signing to Fearless Records at the start of the year, the quartet's second EP Do Overs And Second Chances was recorded with Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Cartel) and debuted at #8 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and #179 on the Billboard 200 in April 2010. The band completed a sold out tour with A Day To Remember, August Burns Red, Silverstein and Enter Shikari, and tour with Secondhand Serenade this summer.

Hey Rev Theory fans, As most of you know, Rev has been busy in the studio during the first half of 2010 working on the much anticipated follow up to their 2008 release "LIGHT IT UP". Now that they're putting the finishing touches on the new album, it's time to start getting the word out that new Rev Theory music is on the way!! The untitled album was produced by legendary rock producer, Terry Date (Pantera, Deftones, Soundgarden) at Henson Studios in LA. While the new batch of songs remain true to Rev's identity, the new album has a fresh perspective on heavy, melodic rock music! The guys had a blast working with Terry and taking time crafting this album. They are beyond stoked that they were finally able to capture all the energy and raw power from their live show in the studio. No official release date has been set, but you can expect to hear songs in 2010, with the album dropping in early 2011. With a new Rev Theory album on the horizon, I need all of you incredible Rev fans out there to inform all your facebook, twitter, and myspace friends about Rev Theory's forthcoming album. Since it's still pretty early in the game, the best promo method at the moment is to post small bits of info to help gradually generate excitement and anticipation. In addition to the UK tour, Hawkwind will appear at HAWKFEST 2010 next month, which returns to Afton Farm on the Isle Of White. Curated by the members of Hawkwind, Hawkfest takes place between August 27th and 29th. Hawkfest originally came about after the breakdown of the free festival movement in the mid to late 1980's. The band felt that major festivals had lost what made them great. Gone was the intimate, carnival atmosphere and the colourful characters, only to be replaced with huge-scale commercialism.
Wanting to get back to the roots of what made festivals so enjoyable, Hawkwind constructed a family friendly event where children could play and explore, whilst parents watched great music, safe in the knowledge that the kids would be safe. ALBERTA CROSS CONFIRMS SEPTEMBER CO-HEADLINE TOUR WITH DEAD CONFEDERATE BROKEN SIDE OF TIME CONTINUES TO RECEIVE ACCLAIM “Channeling Neil Young…the sound of deliverance.”—Esquire Alberta Cross, praised by Rolling Stone as “roots-rock grit meets Brit-pop grandeur,” will co-headline a nationwide tour with Dead Confederate. Kicking off September 6 in Portland, OR, the month-long tour will take the band across the country to cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and more. The tour follows a busy summer for Alberta Cross, who will head to Australia and Japan later this month. Widely praised for their live shows, Alberta Cross has headlined sold out shows across the nation, and have shared the stage in the U.S. and Europe with Them Crooked Vultures, Oasis, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Mumford & Sons, among others. Their much-anticipated ATO Records debut Broken Side of Time is being widely praised by critics, with Esquire declaring “as electrically dark as it is electrifyingly determined,” and Billboard calling it “a step forward in cementing their place in American blues-rock,” that “leaves an unmistakable mark.” Likewise, they were featured as a Breaking Artist in Rolling Stone, which praises them for “combining wind tunnels of bent guitar riffs and distorted power chords with the haunting melodies of rural American music. It’s all topped by Ericson Stakee’s sweet, high-lonesome voice, which recalls both Jim James and Neil Young.” Alberta Cross took shape when Sweden-born guitarist/vocalist Petter Ericson Stakee and bassist Terry Wolfers, a Brit himself, began jamming together in London’s east end. Their acclaimed EP The Thief & the Heartbreaker earned the band widespread critical praise with NPR finding “It’s a long way from London to Laurel Canyon, but they seem to have found the portal.” Following a series of U.K. touring slots with Oasis, The Shins and Bat for Lashes, Alberta Cross relocated to New York City in pursuit of renewed creative energy and new challenges. Broken Side of Time is born of the struggles and setbacks the band faced along the way. The album serves as Alberta Cross’ official introduction to the U.S. As Stakee explains, “It’s kind of a desperation album, a darker album; it’s definitely angrier. We’ve been in a crazy place during the whole album and you can hear that.” Led by Stakee and Wolfers, Alberta Cross is rounded out by guitarist Sam Kearney, drummer Austin Beede and keyboardist Alec Higgins.
