The Maine has been writing and recording and touring nonstop since they were barely out of high school. Their songs have garnered a collective 77 million plays on MySpace and they have sold 113k albums, 674k digital singles and racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube. The five-piece has been a part of four consecutive sold out tours and spent last summer as a marquee artist on the entire length of the 2009 Van’s Warped Tour.
Their nationwide headlining tour, “An Evening with The Maine” presented by Alternative Press Magazine, kicked off July 7th in San Francisco, CA. “An Evening with The Maine” is a unique event that allows fans to connect with the band on a personal level. Each show features a 90-minute set, followed by an audience-wide meet & greet and photo session. This Century will open on the tour, and there will be special guests, giveaways, contests and prizes every night.
New songs “Inside of You” and “Growing Up” are available now at iTunes and all DSPs, and fans purchasing Black & White through iTunes will receive a bonus two-song live performance video entitled “The Alternative Press Sessions.” “Right Girl” is now streaming on their MySpace.

Tupelo Honey and their longtime singer Matt Landry have parted ways, the band said on their official website. The reason isn't explicitly given, though creative differences seems to be the main cause. Landry has already landed on his feet with a new project, 'Matt Landry & The Dryland Band.' There's no music posted as of yet, but the genre is described as "folk rock." As of now the only website for the band is on Facebook, located here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Matt-Landry-and-The-Dryland-Band/114974251859741 .
On the other hand, Tupelo Honey is currently auditioning new singers and continuing work on a new full-length album. Their statement on the situation is below...
DEAR FRIENDS AND FANS OF TUPELO HONEY...
There have been a lot of rumours circulating as to whether or not Tupelo Honey is still alive and well. Understandably so, since all throughout 2009 we were enthusiastically posting updates and videos detailing the progress of our first full-length album, and then all of a sudden we went silent. To put an end to any misconceptions or uncertainty, we feel it necessary to clear the air and tell our beloved friends and fans (that's you guys!) what the ____ has been going on.
There are two extremely important things we want everyone to know before we get back to kicking righteous butt through your speakers.
1: Matt Landry is no longer a part of Tupelo Honey.
2: Tupelo Honey is indeed alive and well, and looking forward to releasing the best material we have ever written.
Without getting into any unnecessary detail, it became abundantly clear that continuing the band with Matt involved was literally impossible. There was no falling out or personal differences that caused the split, it was just simply not possible to move forward in any fashion whatsoever given the situation. We part ways amicably knowing we have created some great music together, but also knowing that those days are now over.
Over the past few months we have had a few singers in to the studio to audition and record a couple of our upcoming singles. It is a strange thing to hear a different sound come out of a band you have been a part of for 7 years, but one thing was for certain; it was Tupelo Honey, and it was awesome!!! The voices may have been different, but the soul of the song was coming from the same 4 songwriters, musicians and friends that had written the last 3 Tupelo Honey records. A final choice has yet to be made official but we will definitely have some exciting news very soon, and we think fans of the band will truly be happy.
To us, Tupelo Honey has always represented the absolute best we can do as musicians, songwriters and performers. We have been so very blessed to have such enthusiastic fans over the years, and we are simply dying to share these new songs with you. We’d like to thank you all for your patience with us, and rest assured that Tupelo Honey is indeed alive and well.
