Andrew McMahon, frontman for Sire Records' pop/rock recording artist Jack's Mannequin, will become a partner of Stand Up To Cancer by participating in its programming beginning in December 2009. The Stand Up To Cancer initiative aims to raise awareness and bring about an understanding that everyone is connected by cancer. The group has raised more than $100 million for cancer research through television events, private and corporate donors, Major League Baseball stadiums, and public donations.

In addition, Sire Records will release Dear Jack on November 3rd, a DVD documentary shot by McMahon himself which chronicles his own personal fight against leukemia. Equipped with a DV camera Sire Records originally gave him to capture the making of his debut Jack's Mannequin album, Everything in Transit, McMahon kept the camera rolling after the crucial day in May 2005 when he not only finished his debut solo album, but was also diagnosed with cancer at only 22 years old. Directed by filmmakers Corey Moss and Josh Morrisroe and narrated by Tommy Lee, this documentary is a raw look at the battle that is leukemia. The film will be available in-stores, on the Jack's Mannequin website www.jacksmannequin.com and via digital download through iTunes.

A special Limited Edition Dear Jack pre-order from the website sold out in only one week. The 3,000 lucky fans who reserved their copy of the DVD also received an exclusive, newly recorded and previously unreleased track, "Swim (Music Box)" as an instant audio bonus, along with an autographed poster from McMahon. The Standard Edition Dear Jack DVD only is however still available for pre-order at www.jacksmannequin.com.

A sold out theatrical screening of Dear Jack, held especially for fans and attended by McMahon, was held in Chicago on October 8th. Two additional sold out screenings will occur this month as well: the first at the IFC Theater at 323 Sixth Ave, at West Third St., in New York City on October 22nd and the second at the Landmark Theater at 1080 N. Finally, a limited-edition "Swim" art book, which includes artwork created by friends and fans of Jack's Mannequin that became a prominent part of the "Swim" music video (www.jacksmannequin.com/videos) will be released on November 3rd. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Dear Jack Foundation the non-profit charitable organization dedicated to funding cancer research that McMahon founded in 2006.

On November 2 at 11 p.m. ET, Fuse, the national music network, will televise the worldwide premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, the band's legendary, never-before-released 1992 Reading concert. The show, marking the first time that Nirvana fans will experience the epochal August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at UK's Reading Festival, will debut as an hour long broadcast the night before the limited edition 90 minute CD+DVD Deluxe Edition is by Geffen/UMe.

Featuring 25 songs including "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "All Apologies" and "Come As You Are," Nirvana's performance at Reading ranked No. 1 in Kerrang Magazine's "100 Gigs That Shook The World" chart and was voted as "Nirvana's No. 1 Greatest Moment" by fans in a recent NME poll.

"Fuse is excited to provide Nirvana fans with the first opportunity to witness this historic music event since the concert 17 years ago," said David Weier, vice president, programming, Fuse. "Not only are we airing a highly anticipated, never-before-seen concert in more than 65 million homes, we are providing Nirvana's loyal fan base with companion programming for a comprehensive and unique viewing experience."

Leading up to the premiere of Nirvana Live at Reading, Fuse will air "Loaded: Nirvana," a half-hour of Nirvana's greatest music videos at 10 p.m. ET, followed by "Videos That Rocked the World: Smells Like Teen Spirit," a celebration of the legendary music video which was a breakthrough for music, entertainment, culture and society.

While the show's centerpiece was a performance of nearly the entire Nevermind tracklist, also noteworthy were early performances of three as yet unrecorded songs which wouldn't be released until 2 years later on In Utero: "All Apologies," "Dumb," and in its first ever public performance, "Tourettes." The career-spanning setlist also reached back to the band's 1989 Sub Pop debut album, Bleach, for "Blew," "About A Girl," "School," "Negative Creep" and first single "Love Buzz," and even further back to the mid-'80s for "Spank Thru." Other songs from the Reading set would appear in studio form on the Incesticide compilation later in the year: "Aneurysm," "Been A Son" and "Sliver." Additionally, the band played a pair of beloved covers by two bands that helped shape the formative Nirvana sound-- "The Money Will Roll Right In" by Fang and "D-7" by The Wipers.

Nirvana Live at Reading will be issued in a limited edition CD+DVD Deluxe Edition as well as DVD-only and CD-only configurations mixed in 5.1 on November 3, 2009, followed by a 2-LP version on November 17, 2009. For more information visit, www.hereisnirvana.com.

Simple Minds and OMD will appear on stage together for the very first time when they perform Kraftwerk's "Neon Lights" on their forthcoming UK tour which kicks off at the Newcastle Metro Arena on 30th November. The news follows OMD's recent appearance in the BBC 4 television documentary 'Synth Britannia' that chronicled the rise of electronic and industrial pop music in the mid 70s and early 80s. "Neon Lights," originally released on Kraftwerk's 1978 album "The Man Machine," will be performed together by OMD and Simple Minds during Simple Minds' set on every date of their UK tour.

Both bands have previously performed Neon Lights in their own right. Says Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, "Kraftwerk were the link between a whole generation of kids in the UK that used synthesizers to define some of the 80's most glorious pop music. In our own way we want to honour their influence by performing Neon Lights." "Kraftwerk's contribution to music is timeless," says OMD's Andy McCluskey. "Kraftwerk was the reason why we formed OMD. Simple Minds and OMD listened to Kraftwerk before we started making music, but eventually our individual styles of music ventured into different directions.

Simple Minds' early electronic rock albums 'Empires and Dance' and 'Reel To Reel Cacophony' defined industrial electronic rock with 'I Travel', while OMD explored electronic soundscapes and minimalism with our early songs 'Electricity' and 'Messages'.
