When multiplatinum artist and producer Pharrell Williams is so anxious to get in touch with someone that he contacts their high school to try and track them down, you know that there is something special happening.  When that happened to singer-songwriter and YouTube sensation Alyssa Bernal, the teenager was shocked. “They didn’t know who Pharrell was! They just thought it was some shady guy trying to get a hold of me,” laughs Alyssa.  Her mother finally spotted his MySpace message and 24 hours later, she and Alyssa were on a plane from their home in San Antonio, TX to meet Pharrell and Interscope Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine in Los Angeles.  "Finding a new talent like Alyssa is so exciting to me,” says Pharrell. “There are a lot of young singers out there who can carry a tune, but Alyssa is the real deal. She is a true musician with an incredible voice."

Once signed to Star Trak, Alyssa met with her dream producer, Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, Train).  Terefe's schedule was fully booked for the next few months, but after an hour-long meeting with the young singer, he agreed to work with her - starting immediately.  Alyssa and her mother moved to London for seven weeks to record her debut album, In Love Again For The First Time.  Terefe helped develop Alyssa’s naturally sunny sound, enlivening her pop sensibility with notes of funk and soul. After that group split, Ronnie – along with Rod Stewart - joined up with ex-Small Faces Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones in The Faces.  While Ronnie [and Rod] moved on after a couple of years, The Faces are viewed by all rock fans as a truly classic band; and in fact they perform a handful of dates in 2010 with Mick Hucknall on vocals. After the release of his first solo album, Ronnie was invited to join the Rolling Stones - in 1975 – and remains with them to this day.

Pete Yorn will celebrate the release of his new, self-titled album with shows at intimate venues in Los Angeles and New York, a return visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and a first time appearance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter-guitarist will play Los Angeles' Roxy Theatre on Monday, September 27th - the eve of the album's release on Vagrant Records - and perform on "The Ellen Show" on Thursday, September 30th. He'll play the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on October 5th and appear on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on October 7th.  Then Yorn will head to Texas to play the Lady Bird Lake Stage at the Austin City Limits Festival on October 9th.

The new album is a visceral, off-the-cuff collection recorded in five short days in 2008. Yorn was making Back & Fourth in Nebraska when he got an email from Black suggesting that they record together. Intrigued, Pete flew to Salem, OR, where the two set up an impromptu studio. The resulting songs are raw, born of shattered nerves and shifting dreams, yet edged with hope.
