His fans will embrace him and he will prove himself! I've seen him live with Journey and there is NO one like him in the world! This is the most exciting news! Any news about Steve spreads like wildfire among my "Perry" girls. We love you Steve and are looking forward to hearing some new stuff from you. It has been our hope, our prayer for all these years. It was in a vegas paper, and also on a board where they have the dates of new albums being releases. To whoever said Perry last album with Journey was missing something! Go back and listen to trial by fire and you will find this a very emotional,beautiful,album. everything on this album is written from the soul of perry and written about love and loss within his 8 year absents from journey. When you love a woman is breathtaking. Perry,Caine,and Neal did a fantastic job on the album. By the way Caine! when you lie and say that Perry did not want to tour Europe in the middle 80's and say you dont know why! I'll tell you what you already knew. That was the time Perrys mother was very,very,sick and he did not want to leave her for fear of her dying. I lost my sister/my friend to cancer, she suffered a very slow and painful death and there wasn't anything I could do to make her better, we buried her on her 31st birthday. Two months later I lost my Aunt who was more like a sister, we were almost the same age, her untimely death was due to drug and alcohol abuse. The three of us were very close and had many misadventures. Steve you were right there in the middle in song. We of course all had a serious crush on you, I still do. We sang all of your songs together our favorite to sing as a trio was "Lights." We sang it accapella in the stairwell of my garage apartment because the acoustics were perfect. Thank you for being a part of some very precious memories. I'm just now at the point where I can here your voice without breaking down. For a long while I avoided you, but now especially since I'm clean and sober I can truly appreciate your work as if each song is a masterpiece painting in my personal gallery in my heart. While that was a couple years ago, someone reassure me that it was just because he had gone hoarse from either cheering or an upper respiratory infection-because in that video (shot by someone who wanted to mock him-which made me furious), he was hoarse, off key, and truly sounded like only a shadow of himself. So Marky rejoining would likely rekindle originality because their recent release fell flat on it's face with me. But on the other side of the coin. I think that maybe Marky should just continue to work on his solo release, which has been under way for years now and I'm not sure if it'll ever see the light of day. The stuff he did with his band Midnight Project wasn't the most appealing. Marky could do better. So it's either him putting out a solo album. Or trying again with a new band. If he rejoins Adema. Well, cool. But I'm not sure if Adema can hold on much longer as record sales have been pretty dry with the last two releases. Here's to hoping. » (read more) « (read less)

But I can't get my face rocked off when every song on an album is a slow song. Don't get me wrong. I love a good slow song to relax to. But when the majority of an album is nothing but slow songs. It sort of puts me off. I've been listening to Skillet since their first release. Love the band to death, and they've grown substantually, this is without question. But they can do better than this with an album and if they want to put slower songs on an album. At least balance it with heavier songs as well. Comment by Jay Sounds like a few songs have the same delivery thoughout. There seems to be a few rocking songs that are different. "Sometimes" seems to be a bassline laced slow rock, but it is not without power. "Don't wake me" seems to have an interesting mellow sound, and Skillet should be delivering some mellow as well. "Never surrender" also gave me a different side of Skillet as well. It varies from the hard rift, to the subtle answer. "Lucy" is decent, as is "Hero" though I don't think it is as good as most of their hits. Additionally, Comatose took Skillet to places that very few Christian bands have gone. Why they have not grown further from that concept is a little beyond me. I will probably get this disc eventually, but I usually order a few copies well in advance. I will wait to hear the full versions first. There are some decent songs, a couple very good ones, but also 4 or more that are pretty much the same sound, and not very pleasing. "Forgiven is an example of one of these songs, and hopefully the full song will have some cool transitions. Skillet is still very cool, and I hope that the disc provides some sounds that are begin to compare more closely with "Comatose". I have listened to Skillet since their beginning, and accepted many of the changes that they followed. Going from Alternative, to spacey 9" nailsish, to Heavy scream vocals (Collide), this one lost some fans that were original panheads. I fell in love with the Comatose release, as this was very artistic and each song had a different sound. I lost my sister/my friend to cancer, she suffered a very slow and painful death and there wasn't anything I could do to make her better, we buried her on her 31st birthday. Two months later I lost my Aunt who was more like a sister, we were almost the same age, her untimely death was due to drug and alcohol abuse. The three of us were very close and had many misadventures. Steve you were right there in the middle in song. We of course all had a serious crush on you, I still do. We sang all of your songs together our favorite to sing as a trio was "Lights." We sang it accapella in the stairwell of my garage apartment because the acoustics were perfect.
