Seventeen new Chris Trapper songs in a collection called "Songs from the Middle of the World," Solo/Acoustic Rarities, Voumel 1. has been released online at his myspace page, www.myspace.com/christrapper . Trapper describes the collection as "Very personal songs that I recorded along the way,
sometimes between albums, and sometimes for albums, but left behind for one reason or another. I think most of these recordings have the feeling of reckless honesty, I guess, and maybe I was uncomfortable at first listen, because I wasn’t exactly ready to say what the song called for. Either way, as I listen back now, I think there’s a consistency to the material that lends itself to a collection, and a simplicity that reminds me of early blues or folk records
