I've got one word: BORING! I can't believe how thay have gone downhill since their debut. I have that album on real CD but I would never dream of buying this as there are hundreds of CDs I would listen to before i'd chuck this in my record player. This is a prime example of how trying to get bigger audiences can ruin a previously good band. I promise you that this will sell really well in Sweden though

Hey Kaj,
I didnt know english wasnt your first language. It makes sense now. Second off this is the first time i've ever been to this site and the only reason I came here was because this review is linked on the wikipedia page about the album. I don't agree with your point of view on this album and I've never downloaded an album becuase of your review so you can step off your high horse on that. bye bye!

This album for me features some good songs but in comparison to Godspeed - well it lags behind that one.
There's a few b-side material songs thrown in Meteor - I Got The Bomb, Time For Pie and Disco At The Fairgrounds.
I knoe The 'Zam is capable of writing better songs than those.
Don't Look Down as track #2? I wouldn't have put a ballad as track #2 but whatever.
The production is flawed unfortunately on Meteor. It is mastered way too hot - a victim of the loudness wars.
Drums are distorted on Let It Fly - in the buildup middle part of the song. Listen to when the floor toms are struck to hear the distortion.
Also viewing the waveform on these tracks clearly shows digital clipping.
Too bad!

I love the new direction. A much more modern sound and vibe. The production quality beats the Massy stuff in my opinion. More of a Chris Cornell solo vibe on this then before. I also dig the two bonus cover tracks. Seem 'em do Rigby live at the Royal Albert Hall in London and its spot on.
