I also have to disagree with Mr. Roth and his elementary and dismissive review. The first sentence makes it clear you didn't even try. Some of the song titles are one word... So what? To you, this flags lack of depth. Read the lyrics. You are mistaking aggression for metal/numetal as well. blech... You are missing the big picture. Solvi is a band for musicians and casual listeners alike. There is a severe shortage of intelligent and dynamic rock bands like this one. Also, their live show is flawless.

To be honest I have to disagree with the review, This is by far Chevelle's best effort. Loads of depth and range ... but only after you have listened to the album more then once. Hard hitting and more melodic then previous albums. This one will be hard to follow :)

This is a great album, but it really doesn't do the band justice. I've seen them live several times and have always been impressed with their musical prowess and energy on stage. I respectfully disagree with the reviewer above about the songs' choruses not "lifting." I also wouldn't compare Solvi to 10 Years or Evans Blue, not that they are bad bands.

Nashville needs a band like this to take the music world in a new direction. Their songs are flawless, each having their own feel and Commercial hit potential. Why aren't these guys getting more attention??!?!?

Easily the best album of 2009. Just when you think Rock may be dead, "Meteor" comes and slams you in the head. Hard to pick a favorite song, each one comes on you like a panther; capturing you and gnawing on your brain. When this comes out on vinyl, I'll be first in line to buy it...again. Great art work, flawless production, and fantastic performances of incredible songs.
