They're a band that could have made it big by now, I love the music, but the front man is scum and I've had some crap experiences dealing with this band for that reason. It's sad to see a band with talent end up going running themselves into the ground because of a lack of integrity at the top...

It's called "Folk Bloodbath," just to let you know. I think "The Animal Years" and "The Historical Consequences of Josh Ritter" are both better ... 4 1/2 to 5 stars, in my opinion. I give this one 4/5. The man is a lyrical genius. I had a little more difficulty getting into this one than his last two, but "Rattling Locks," "Folk Bloodbath," "Another New World," "Change of Time," and "The Curse" are all fantastic. Also, he/his band are excellent in concert. I saw him in '08 and it was the best performance I've seen live. I saw him again on Saturday and he was great again.

Great cd by a great band. Seen em live and they rock like their lives depend on it. Do yourselves a favour, buy this album and get Angel House the recognition they rightly deserve. This is proper rock, not the namby pamby shit so many of todays bands play!
