I find it highly coincidental that nearly every single song written by this band connects to my life somehow. They've taught me many things. Thank you M.L

Thank you for the great album review- only just got to listen to this album. WOW! I hope this is not the last from Peter and Anna; Peter's album is missing Anna.

Steven Curtis Chapman - Beauty will rise
(Sparrow, 2009)

This is an extremely poignant album that captures a lot of raw emotions from this grieving singer-songwriter. My only real complaint about it is that a couple of the tunes are somewhat dull. The acoustic approach works brilliantly in most instances, but sometimes it just feels a bit too slow. Certainly a glossy pop production would feel very out of place here, and I think Steven made the right choice about how to do this material. For me, highlights include the incredibly moving "February 20th," which chronicles little Maria's conversion and had me tasting my own tears first time 'round, the title track, "Just Have to Wait," and "Heaven Is the Face." But the whole album is solid, offering a beautifully understated message of hope through suffering. Chapman's strong faith shines throughout, even though he admits to having "Questions" and doubts. The opening lines of "I Will Trust You" find him laying his soul bare before God ("I don't even want to be right now/I don't want to think another thought...") but refusing to be crushed under the weight of his grief as he vows to trust God nonetheless. This album's message is powerful, and it comes as a breath of fresh air amidst the white-washed ugliness of much of what is being marketed today in CCM. Recommended.

12 classic Bon Jovi tunes! I'm glad u liked this one Kaj. Working class AOR in places like Kaj so nicely stated on my facebook page. The album of the year spot is taken in my book and also the song of the year spot but witch one will it be? There's so many but Work for the working man, Superman tonight, Brokenpromisedland, Thorn in my side and Happy now are all great contenders for the title. Some say this is a comeback but in my book they have never been away and 25 years on the top of the world and still delievering the goods!

I have been a fan for a while now, have collected all of his music including his holiday cd...sigh I also was lucky enough to have an opportunity to spend a good deal of time with Ernie. Not surprisingly, Ernie himself is as genuine as his music. I will be a fan for always.

I've been a fan of Ernie ever since he requested me as a friend on MySpace years ago. I have all his albums and they are fantastic, especially the Congress Hotel and Starting Over. His Live album is great too and if you want a raw cut of his music there is yet another one which was his first called Lo-Fidelity. Ernie Halter can be found on Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. He is totally awesome!
