I heard about Hysterica about 2 years ago, and although the review above says they are a new band on the scene, they have in fact been going for over 3 years, all be it with various line-ups, and also released a demo CD in 2006. The Metal War album in my opinion is superb! I agree totally with the writers review of the album, particularly the comparison to IRON MAIDEN, and coming from a life long MAIDEN fan (seen them live around 30 times, first one when I was 8 years old) that's saying something. I rate Metal War 5/5, although I know many will disagree.

I got my now album today and I am blown away with the results this complete stranger got out of this album! Great melodies, catchy hooks and strong lyrics and lots and lots of diversity.... my fave song is no time 4 goodbyes.... sounds very 70's, al green, eagles and all that stuff we all love. cant hardly wait for the follow up.

And I just saw this conversation about the spelling. I am from France and I'm not so good in english, but I understand all information if a CD is worth to buy or not. I have found Tim Christensen, Carpark North, Simon Collins, Fair To Midland, The Murder Of My Sweet and many more bands through this site. Other favorite sites on the web are www.melodicrock.com, www.alternativeaddiction.com and www.classicrockmagazine.com. So thank you guys for the good work.

Awesome band! The group is comprised of two members from my home town of Elberton, GA and two from Athens, GA. I believe JoJo is from Elberton...can't quite remember. I remember the free concert they held back in 2007, I got an autographed photo from them. The two from Elberton are the kids of some of my Grandmother's favorite customers in her restaurant, Th' Shanty.

Wippsson, the fact that I'm a devoted Jayce Landberg fan doesn't have anything to do with what I'm writing. You don't have to be very good musician to enjoy music. You're putting word into my mouth! BUT you NEED to be a very good musician to criticize music. I can enjoy or I cannot enjoy a specific cook's food at a luxurious restaurant but it would be fucking stupid to try to criticize and tell a cook how to make good food just as it would be fucking stupid to try to teach a fisherman how to fish. And that's exactly what you did here. You say it yourself: it would be stupid to judge the technical side of things but the review does when it says he's trying to play over its capacity. How the hell would you know? You can't even play a blues' scale,nor can you manage more his technique. I don't give a bloody damn if you like it or not, it's a matter of taste and I don't like everything Jayce does even though I think 90% of what he put out is just amazing, but don't go fooling around and act like you know something you don't. You're just making a fool of yourself. Unless you can prove you can play better than him which I deeply doubt. And I'm not getting more personal than you guys are. You criticize music, I criticize writing. I see that disturbs you since you want me to buzz off but YOU don't want to buzz off. Hypocrites... Chris

I would give this album 4 and a half stars. I was so, but so surprised when I listened to it for the very first time! I was amazed how they came up with this classic touch but with such modern sound. It's so unique, so different from all this AOR sameness we've been witnessing lately. The production sounds really great and I think that this band should be proud of the results! It may be me, but the best song on the album has to be YOU for sure! This is a monstrous song with some tear dropping lyrics (BTW, the lyrics on this album are GREAT) and an opera rock feeling that Queen would approve in a heartbeat! I am giving it 4 stars and a half because if there's a second album with even better production, it willl probably be a classic five star rating.
