The bass intro of Hold out is one of the best pomp rock intros ever recorded and then with Leonards keyboards, a real Hallelujah moment

So Chris, do believe that you have to be a musician to be able enjoy music? This would mean that you can't comments on food unless you’re a chef and also unable to rate a movie unless you're director?
My point is that you can have comments on everything that touches feelings and that is subjective. I would be stupid to comment on how they play technically because I have now knowledge in that, but I really believe I can get a fair opinion if I like the music or not. And if you read carefully most of the reviews is positive and not deeply involved in details. And ok, the language might be low in some cases, but I think it would be very annoying to have reviews in Swedish, Spanish, English and Dutch. And by the way, I’m totally sure that we have helped artists to sell a lot of records and spreading the word, which also is a big goal for us. We will never be pro like allmusic, but is not or goal either. So if you don’t agree, just write a note and explain why, that’s probably the most effective way to help your artist.

Chris, The difference is that we are reviewing someone's work while you go on and get personal. If we criticize an album it's nothing personal which you seem to think. You could be the nicest dude but you if you made the worst record ever I'm gonna say so. It has however nothing to do with you as a person. If you don't agree with the review say so but there is no need to go offend us on a personal level. But if you think so... hey.. it's your opinion. I'm just saying that if you insult us of course we are going to bite back, you off all people should know how it works. //Henrik Holmgren, Writer, Guitarist and former Guitar Teacher

Henrik, I am insulting anyone. it is now officially my hobby to read bad reviews written by uneducated people who can't write proper english (but think they can) and criticize them.
How ironic that your hobby is to write critics about musicians but can't take criticism back. Do you even see the irony in that?

Chris, your douche bag rating however is a whopping 5 out of 5!! Congrats buddy! If you don't like the site then sod off, go find a musician site that suits your needs. I'm assuming you will never read another review here but that's fine, just don't come here and act like a jerk and start throwing insults around.

Hi Wippson
Exactly what I thought. No diploma or even musical formation or competence at all. Why don't you just stick to your science Doc and leave music to musicians and people who can actually play.
How would you like us musicans having a science site where our hobby is to criticize or rate scientists and their theories. Stick to your job and get off the net. Par your english is even worse than the other guys. I give your writing not even one star!

It's no idea to write more about this matter now. We have around 3000 to 4000 unique visitors per day at the site who're looking for info about new music that they can buy and info about their favorites. We write reviews (we have written about 8000 CD's) and give them 1,2,3,4 or 5 stars. And we're adding tons of news. All this after our proper works. And this just because we love music. And I think that our readers understand that. And if you don't understand the reviews - why bother. Just don't visit our site. And yes - sorry if we aren't 100% correct in our english as we are from Sweden a few of us writers. The swedish guys at the site have the swedish language as our main language but happily enough for you we also have 5 guys with english as their main language if that is the most important thing for you. And thank god that out of the 3000 to 4000 unique addicted musicmaniacs that visit us every day, doesn't complain about this matter.
1 out 3000 isn't that bad. Sorry Chris - read the bottomlines about the albums we write about if you doesn't understand the english and you'll hopefully get some good recommendations that you can check out. That's what we're here for.
Best
Pär
