Dave Gibbs from Gigolo Aunts is here with his first soloalbum. And what a soloalbum. Geeh? Right up the alley of the ?mighty winberg taste of music?? Soft modern singer songwriter with a LOVELY clean production. Imagine yourself a mix between the soundscape of Daniel Lanois mixed with Ari Hest, David Wilcox and Gus Black and we?re quite ahead of this man and his music. You can all understand that I?m in love with the music. The opening ?Goodbye December? sets the tone and in second out ?True Love? with just his voice and an acoustic guitar he is just so damn right in his expression. And in that way it continues. Phew. Soft and smooth. Not a single bad moment. All songs are not ten points of course. A few tracks are just there without grabbing the heart. But hey ? they?re good and when an album is spiced with tunes like ?Satellite? and ?I Give You Up? you don?t have to bother a single second. If you love soft singer songwriters with a naked touch, you?ll have something REALLY nice ahead of you. Buy it at once. Hallelujah.
