The music climate for artists like James Carrington looks bright for the moment. Modern singer songwriterguys with really good voices behind a piano or an acoustic guitar. Daniel Powter, Ari Hest, Gawin DeGraw, Jamie Cullum, Franky Perez, David Gray... the list can be long. James Carrington plays in the same division as the just mentioned names. He sits on a terrific voice and he is also a talented songwriter. The opening "Simeon" sets the tone in a lovely way and second out "Reach" just continues to deliver. Third out "Stop The World" takes of with just James and his guitar and is painted with a lonely and lovely piano in the refrain and the last one out "Ache" is also a nice tune. As you all understand - this is a sure check out for all suckers of "the aware-generation" of artists. James Carrington?s EP is an appetizer of something big.

Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol has a side project called The Reindeer Section, a supergroup comprising members of famous Scottish bands including Astrid, Belle & Sebastian, Idlewild, Teenage Fanclub and Mogwai. They have released two albums to date on the Belfast label Bright Star.
