"/> Fist "Bolted Door" (Independent,2006) Producer: Genre: Hard Rock Format: Album Website: fist.ronchmusic.com/ Reviewed by: Juha Harjula Add to MySpace Add to Facebook The Canadian veterans Fist (in Europe they are called MyoFist) are back with a brand new studio album since Loud Loud Loud from 1995. Fist has toured the world with the likes of Triumph, Kim Mitchell, Molly Hatchet, Krokus and Motorhead to name a few. "Bolted Door" is filled with 70/80s sounding hardrock with a hammond organ based sound. Soundwise it?s a typical Fist sound with a new edge that is a mixture of Molly Hatchet meets Krokus with Ron Chenier?s hoarse voice that gives Fist a unique sound. On this new album they deliver 12 songs that I think are sounding the same and therefor the album loses my attention after a few tracks,the album is well-produced and performed but the songs are the missing link. But on the other hand I have never been a bigger fan of their earlier albums either. So if you an early fan of this band then you might wanna check out this new Fist album. This is hardrock with some rock and roll touches with a strong hammond sound.
