The unbelievably gifted Charlotte Martin left RCA only because she didn?t want to wait 4 years for the next album to come out, her major label album "On your shore" was written and completed in 2000 but still she had to wait all this time for the record to hit the stores.
That?s why she started her own label Test-Drive records so she could release all these EP?s on her own, Charlotte writes so many songs that it would probably be a mental suicide for her not to share the music with us the fans.
RCA wanted to make another album with her but after the poor promotion of "On your shore", Charlotte did the right thing and signed a new deal with the small label Dinosour Fight for the release of the new album "Stromata".

And as always, her husband Ken Andrews (Failure, Year of the Rabbit) has co-produced it with Charlotte and the result can be compared like going to a spa for your body.
There aren?t many albums where you can create images in your mind to the songs but "Stromata" is the ticket to both the movie, the soundtrack and the journey to other places in the world.
"Cut the cord" takes you to a climbing adventure on the mighty Fuji mountain of Japan, "Drip" is the deep sea sub with a destination deeper than any man has ever been before.
"Little universe" lets the beholder see the stars in the sky at a closer view beyond the moon as the last frontier up to now.
"Four walls" puts the listener in the high tempo of the big city stress where you will feel like a ballerina in the huge crowd of people moving in all directions.

Vanessa Carlton and Norah Jones gets more publicity but they didn?t write the hauntingly beautiful "Inch", Charlotte Martin did and you will miss something spectacular if you won?t let this extraordinary singer invade your sound system.
