melodic.net: M.O.B. - The greatest enemy

Sweden is a pretty small country population-wise. Yet, we keep producing dozens and dozens of quality rock bands. M.O.B. stands for MOST OUTSTANDING BAND and these hard rockers are based in Stockholm. This is their 5th album to date and in my opinion they just keep getting better.
What we’re looking at is a 14-track CD with music for all lovers of JUDAS PRIEST, DEEP PURPLE, ACCEPT or such bands. Try the title track “The greatest enemy” for a taste of some hard rock in JUDAS PRIEST style, á la their “Screaming for vengeance” era. Fast melodic metal is then found in “Inside the fire”, with a sound like a mix of ACCEPT, IRON MAIDEN and even some HAMMERFALL. What is especially cool about M.O.B. is the variation in styles. You won’t get bored at all, since the travel from classic melodic hard rock, via power metal and end up adding some doom metal spices in songs like “Who Are you?”. To underline the width of this band, I’ll finish by mentioning “Eye Of The beholder”, which could have been taken from a GUNS ‘N ROSES album. The word is: solid. These guys know what they’re doing, and their home-made production is way above average.
