Heather Kropf might not be as famous as similar songwriters like Norah Jones and Suzanne Vega but her music sure do sound like it could be famous.
Kropf released her first record "Sky" in 2000 and the second "What else is love" came out in 2005, her 3rd album "Hestia" contains 5 new tracks and 6 reworked songs from the first two albums.
This is a laid back album where the piano is the main instrument along with the steel guitar, Heather's voice is the highlight of the album and there are moments when I come to think of Carly Simon.
Turn off the lights, sit back and relax - "Hestia" will get you in a comfy mood in no time.
Standout tracks are "Joy comes like the morning", "Kite" and "Madrigal".
The album tend to be a little too laid back because 2-3 upbeat songs would lift this album even more.
