Glam and Sleaze rock seems to be a hot thing this year. Here is a band for those of you who like Backyard Babies, Hardcore Superstar or Velvet Revolver. Swedish band Star*Rats deliver their tunes with a good portion of attitude, kick-ass riffs and cool guitar solos. The tempo on here is fast and furious and the production is good. There is just enough edge to the sound, I really do not like it when albums in general are too polished, especially not in a genre like glam rock.

The biggest surprise on the album is a cover of Bon Jovi’s "I’ll Be There For You". That cover is pretty fun and I have heard far worse covers being made. That is by far not the best song though, there are plenty of better songs on here. I will let you decide for yourself which ones you like but if you slap this one on during a pre party, people will notice.

With a ton of attitude and some good songs Star*Rats are doing a lot of things right, of course not perfect but they are on to something good here. If you want a solid rock album to start your party with, check this out.
