Reviewed by: Kaj Roth Add to MySpace Add to Facebook Seattle based Curtains For You takes the listener for a roller coaster ride in the world of British 60's pop, indie rock and harmony filled powerpop. Their 2nd album "What a lovely surprise to wake up here" is a pleasant musical trip that bring thoughts to The Beach Boys, The Beatles and even Jason Falkner. The songs "Nuclear age", "Licorice skies" and "Roadtrip to disaster" stand out, I prefer their powerpop side to the indie rock moments that show up once in a while. Thumbs up for the lovely vocal harmonies.
